My essay

Climate change is a vital global issue we should all pay attention to and take action on it by reducing waste and pollution. More and more countries are developing nuclear power system by degrees. However, the impacts it would bring are still up for debate. In this essay, the pros and cons of nuclear power facilities will be discussed and I will conclude my point of view of each side.

First of all, it is clear that nuclear electronic system is currently the most efficient way to generate electricity compare to burning fossil fuels which creates air pollution and speeds up the global warming by emitting greenhouse gases. Secondly, from the economic view point, nuclear power system cost less than the traditional electronic producing method and bring more profit to the electricity company.

However, there is another side of the coin, even though nuclear power system could benefit the society, the safety and security still call into question. Some people worry about the stability of the system since few explosion had happened and caused heavy casualties in history. In addition, huge cost would have to be invest in establishing one station in advance and there is controversial problems of where to set the location. It is believed that the disposal material produced after used is harmful and attached with toxic chemical substance linking to cancer, therefore, no body wants to live beside the power plant where people consider jeopardy to their health and safety.

Form my personal view, it's impossible to call nuclear power quit immediately since we have huge demand of electricity. Moreover, I believed with great policy and regulation, it is possible to overcome the safety problems. Consequently, in my perspective, the benefit is greater than the drawbacks. In addition, it is not a all or nothing question. We can balance all the system we have nowadays and develop other sustainable power system at the same time such as wind energy, solar power or tidal power system.
