Since the sequence of original TV drama series, The L Word has been rebooted called The L word generation Q. Truth to be told, I am so excited. Because the show literally changed my life.

It aired in 2004 and ended in 2009. I was astonished that these topics could be discussed openly in the early time in public. I knew nothing about the show until 2015 when I was at United States. One of my roommates introduced it to me.

I spent almost a month to watch whole six seasons. It totally blew my mind. For me, it was difficult to imagine that kind of life, being that confident, normal and pride of who you are.

The story was about lives amount a group of queer women lived in LA. They were close friends and took care of each other. Surely, sometimes they argued, fought or encountered difficulties. But at the end of the day, friendship still brought them together. I was obsessed with the show so much. Each story line of characters was fun and unexpected. Some plots were warm, some were hilarious yet some were heart broken and unacceptable. Just exactly like life, up and down with sour and sweet.

It got huge impact for me by helping me shape who I am and making me perceive things differently. Most importantly, let me know that there are this queer community that truly exist, just like me. I am nothing but a normal person like everybody else. Just be true to yourself. Love yourself.

Love has no face, no color. Love is love.
