Today I am going to share a story of Paul. It is one true story of a customer that I met few years ago. Paul was in his mid fifties and was a carpenters in Tasmania after retirement. When I was traveling, I always love to meet new people. It's like reading a book without knowing the topic, you never know what is underneath.

Paul was in an average height and a chubby guy who was almost balding. But he had pretty blue eyes and warm voice. From my perspective, he looks just like a dad. He was a gentle and sincere person. He was always polite and talking softly and properly since we met.

Paul came for a massage approximately every two weeks depended on his work. I assumed that he got muscle soreness because his job. Paul was chatty, he liked to talk about countries, family and everything. To be honest, I rather he slept and lay still than chatted out loud. I was on clock after all. But I was pleasant to chat with Paul, hearing some advises from adult in his age. It wouldn't harm so much even though sometimes it was dull.

One day, as usual Paul came to shop. It was just like a normal day. I knew he had two daughters who were at mainland Australia studying. He was a proud father you can see from the way he talked about his girls. He lived with wife in Launceston. I always wondered why didn't he bring the wife to the shop too. I believe massage is treat to everybody. So, I asked Paul about his wife. Turned out that his wife was ticklish, massage wasn't her cup of tea.

Me : That is ashamed I wouldn't be able to meet her.

Paul: Actually,today is our anniversary!

Me : Really, congrats, I suppose there would be a date at night, right? Fancy restaurant, candles, wine and everything like that.

Paul : Nope,we are going to Fish & Chips at the corner of downtown. We go there every year. It's kind of tradition. Our thing, you know.

Me : I see, it's not what I imagine though.

It did caught me at surprised but not by they celebrating at Fish & Chips. I know people sometimes just do normal things because we are not in the movies in Hollywood. But it was special and unique to celebrate there.

When Paul and his wife married. They didn't have much fortune at the time, life was tough. However, they had one common dream. It was to have a warm house of their own if they wanted to have babies to grew in their own place. They saved money hard to make that dream happen. Soon, they were affordable and decided to build the house by themselves. They did it together. Paul said that he still could remember the good old precious time vividly.

One day when the house was being built, it happened to be their anniversary. They didn't went to a fancy restaurant, instead they grab a lunch at construction site quickly. Yes , you guess it. Fish & Chips at the corner of downtown. That was one of the best moment of theirs.

They took a wrap paper of the dish and covered it on a brick that was used to build the house. It will be a part of the building forever and also, a part of their love. That was unexpected and the most romantic story ever.

After that, they celebrated anniversary by taking out Fish & Chips home to eat. That was a story truly melting me. When you meet the right one, with same goal and share same value. A lot of things seem secondarily. Little things can bring you joy.

Thanks for reading today's story about Paul. Hope you enjoy this lovely story and find your right one soon. If you do have one, wonderful, tell he or her this story and you can save lots of money. Bye~
