It's a sensitive topic. But with open mind, it can be interesting. I believe religion can bring people faith and strength. There is no doubt, it benefit us in certain way.

I was born into a Taoism family which most Taiwanese family do. But I would not consider myself a religious person. I am more like a spiritual person. I do believe in soul, spirit and unexplained energy but philosophy and science make more sense to me. I am much more like a thinker which is good because I am willing to hear different voices and being open minded. It is important to be able to distinguish right and wrong on your own opinion.
Finally, on the path of life road, we will encounter different people with different religions.
It’s possible to have a civil conversation about religion. I always approach this subject with curious and know-nothing attitude. I think it’s important for people to keep this kind of sensitive conversation in the realms of knowledge-sharing and common-ground-finding.Most importantly, respect each others' faith.
