My chin up challenge!

If you can't get away from work out life. Then... I am in your group!! High Five.

I am always that kind of sporty girl. I used to play basket ball when I was a kid. But I never got a chance to a gym for a weight training until university. It was a just a P.E class. Didn't thought too much about it.
It was not trendy that time in Taiwan. You wouldn't go unless you were an athlete. Not to mention it was a total men activity at the time. It appeared to me, girls and fatties were not so welcomed in that space.

When did I start to hit a gym?
When I was in Australia, I decided to lose weight. Besides, I usually clocked out at 6. There were nothing much to do at night. Shops closed almost at 6. Best of the parts, no one knew me there, wasn't it great training without the chance bumping into acquaintances. Awesome.
Why chin up?
For me, people who are capable of doing a chin up are so fascinated. It is not easy. You must have certain determination and persist.
How long did I train till I got my first hit.
At first I can't even do one since lack of muscles and without enough strength. So I tried to train whole body muscles first. Sometimes I trained upper body. Sometimes focused on legs and thigh or abdominal. I did both cardio and weight training. I even tried the TABATA training. It was interesting and soothing but for sure, soreness was kind of combo but I loved it!!
However,I still couldn't do one chin-up after two months. It was hard to achieve but that's okay, at the point, chin-up didn't seem so necessary. I enjoyed the lifestyle working out. I could just go to the gym on a running machine without high intensity interval training and being satisfied and went back home.
It's important that you focus on your own work and don't feel compulsive and stressed about what you are doing. You have to enjoy it cause it will be a long run. It's all about the procedure.
Almost half a year,that one day, I realized I can do a reverse chin-up. Like I said, the more you enjoyed it, the more effort you would take in it naturally. I started to use machine training my back muscles. My favorite was Chin and Dip machine which you can train your muscles properly. I even bought a chin-up bar at home. When you are completely into this. Trust me! When you see a bar anywhere,like on a bus, you will have impulse to do a chin-up.
Goal completed
My ultimate goal was ten chin-ups, after two years. I did it!!!
