How to stop procrastinate!

Recently, one of my best friend, Jane recommend me a podcast for me. I want to share one of the episode of the podcast hosted by Rob Dial.

This episode give us 5 tips to stop us procrastinating. As we all know that is a very difficult subject. It's the one big thing that we all wish we didn't do, but we all do. And why we procrastinate? It's because it's easier not to change, we don't want to push ourselves out off the comfort zone. Somehow, we are afraid of failure and don't want to face the unknown. But! We all know that not doesn't do any good for our lives. So, let's see how to change that bad habit together.
Tip No.1: Make A TO DO LIST and Eat that Frog
Being a planner is vital, make a list of what needs to be done can set up a clear direction. Not just merely setting goals, one of the Rob's secrets is to shorten the list into three top tasks and point out the most important one as your frog. Eat that frog means that do that most important task first in the morning which can save you time and force you to get the priority thing get done.
Sometimes, we make the to do list too long to accomplish, cause we usually pick the easier tasks to do. Turns out we didn't get the number one thing to be done at the end of the day. So, make a priority list and eat that frog first in the morning.
Tip No.2: Get up earlier
Getting up earlier is kind of related to the tip number one, as the saying goes, early birds gets the worm. Think about it, the earlier you get up, the more time you get in a day. It's hard to do that, we all understand. Here is one tip Rob shared with us. He always set alarm on the phone, and put it in the bathroom. Every morning, he has to stand up, out of bed and walks into bathroom to turn off the alarm. It that doesn't work. Get a cold shower right after you woke up. That's a tip from Rob.
Your will power is exactly like battery on your phone. It's going to get less and less as the day goes on. So, wake up earlier!
Tip No.3: Eliminate temptation
Number three, eliminate temptation. On the way to succeed your goal, there will be endless distractions stop you achieving your goal. I am convinced that discipline is one true character you need to persist.
For an example Rob mentioned in the podcast, work out. Cutting off junk food is necessarily to get fitter and healthier. We all know that, but only few people can put it into practice. And TV, we all have been there, turn on the TV for just one episode, three hours later, what the hell happen to my time. Cancel the TV subscription, download news feed eradicator and toughen up a little bit. All you need is determination and discipline.
Tip No.4: Remind your what's important
And number four, change your perspective. There is always two sides of the coin. Don't thinking about obligations all the time. Try to see it as an opportunity to get the benefit, to learn more. That will totally drive you to do things that need to be done.
Tip No.5: Move your body
And lastly, move your body. It's a efficient way to make your mind clear if you aren't concentrate on the thing you are doing at hand. Take few minutes, stand up, walk around. Or go up and down the stairs for a couple of times like Rob dose, this can get your heart rate up and make give you more energy.
