Reading a book a day? Sounds difficult to do. However, today I am gonna share a ted talk by Tai Lopez which was a life altering speech for me.

I think we all recognize the importance of reading which giving us accesses to more knowledge and truth. In this speech, Tai mentioned few points to help us getting close to success.
In the beginning:
Mentor rules or 10x rules
Tai mentioned that we should divide up our life into three parts.
Spend 33% of your life helping people lower than you; other 33% of people on your level became your friends, your peers. Most important left 33% people are who 10,20 years ahead of you. Also most people forget about cause you will feel uncomfortable being with them.
However, that what we want if we want progress. Be sure to find people at least 10 times further ahead of you. Don't make mistake most people do just find somebody a little bit better than them. Don't being the blind leading the blind.
4 factors you should do!
First: Humility
In this part, Tai shared a story of Sam Walton, who was the richest man in America and built the biggest retailer empire got caught in a trip in San Paulo, Brazil. Because he still tried to learn everything and being humble to know even if he was already a billionaire.
Second: Perseverance
We often see things at the end of the story and overlook the process of the journey. There is no one step to success. It takes times and efforts to reach the goal. Even Bill Gates said, from age 20 to 30, he never took a day off. Not even one.
Tai also shared a story of his good friend who persevered and became one of the biggest real estate investors in the world.
Third: Books
I totally agree that we should see books as hidden treasure. Books can bring us abundance knowledge beyond we can imagine.
Here are some tips Tai shared with us to read faster and more efficient.
Stop seeing a book as one-time event. See books as friends, you read it over and over. Set your own pace. Sometimes, you can read it in a week. Sometimes, you can flip through it quick. Sometimes, you can just focus on one chapter. Most books only have one or two things worth reading. The point is how you read, and you should read more.
"Reading maketh a full man; Conference, a ready man; Writing, an exact man.-Sir Francis Bacon.
Lastly: Toughen up
I like the Stoic and Epicurean theory much.
Tai said,"A nation is born stoic and dies epicurean." Stoics were people willing to sacrifice present pleasure for something better later. You could say they were investors. Epicurean live for now. They were consumers. They said," You only live once."
That's why in this era with media bombard us with on average 2,000 ads a day to convince us buying stuff we even don't need.
"Luxury comes at a cost of killing your hopes, your dreams and your ambitions."
So be a stoic, toughen up a little bit. Take a cold shower!
Closing:
It's supposed to be hard. The hard is what makes it great.- Tom Hanks
Mentors will help us getting close to our goal. They are the short cut that we want. You don't want to do it in the hard way, right?
So be humble, persevere, read more and toughen up. There is always somebody to learn from.
"Love your life, Perfect your life, Beautify all thing in your life, Seek to make your life long, and it's purpose in the service your people." -Chief Tecumseh
