Recently, I've binged the TV series called" Gentleman Jack"which is based on diary of an English landowner, Anne Lister, from Halifax, West Yorkshire. The series is describing Anne's life including devoting to restore Shibden Hall and how she met her wife, Ann Walker.

Anne Lister

In the series, Anne was a calm, decisive and clever woman. There are so much I love about her. Being a landlord, her distinguished work beat the men again and again. She pushed the limits of acceptable conduct and refused the role assigned to her by society and lived her truth. Turned out that she was brilliant, outstanding and there was no doubt of her abilities in business or managing the activities.

At the same time, she was also a thoughtful and considering sweet heart, cared her family, tenants and servants. Even thought she didn't always show people the tender side of herself, but you still could feel it by the movements and actions she took.

On the contrary, Ann was a timid and lack of confidence women twelve years younger than Anne. Having abundance of fortune, making her target of fortune hunter all the times. Thus, this little poor thing barely went out nor have friends at her age and suffered from mental illness. I am glad Anne showed up and saved this pretty lady.

Surely, the relationship didn't went smoothly. Ann didn't accept Anne's propose in the beginning which fully broke her heart. Poor Anne. Then the two separated, Ann went off to England with her sister and Anne went away Halifax to Europe continent.

However, destiny still brought these two together. After years, they still cared each other in the deep heart, most importantly and key point was Ann encouraged herself to embrace and follow her instinct. Good for you, Ann. True love doesn't fall from sky. You have to earn it.

These two makes the most beautiful couple ever. Anyway, I hope that they still happily married in season 2.
